Ingredients
- 1 cup coarse white bulgur
- 10 small onions
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 300 grams meat pieces for boiling
- 1/2 cup cooked chickpeas
- 2 cups of meat broth for every cup of bulgur
- A pinch of black pepper
- A pinch of ground cinnamon
- A pinch of cumin
- A small pinch of caraway
- Salt to taste
Method
- Boil the meat pieces in plenty of water with the spices.
- In a pot, sauté the small onions in the ghee until they are golden on all sides.
- Place the boiled meat over the onions in the pot, then add the chickpeas, 2 cups of meat broth, the spices, and salt.
- When the broth comes to a boil, add the bulgur, stir, and reduce the heat.
